Why Bush is going to win - Part Two

- Ohio is a Republican state, with a Republican governor, Republican legislature, and, outside of Cleveland, is full of gun-toting, America-first conservatives. The crowds (see below) have shown up in huge numbers for Bush. Kerry, on the other hand hasn't been filling up areas or stadiums. I don't what the polls say. Ohio goes for Bush.

- Didn't we here from the entire Democratic establishment (especially that tool Terry McAuliffe) that getting rid of Governor Jeb Bush in Florida in 2002 was Job 1 for the Democratic Party? Didn't we hear how Jeb was going down, they were sending a message to W, etc? Well, Jeb won in a landslide, and carries a 70% approval rating today. Blacks and Jews have caught on to the Democrats, and the vote total will reflect that. USA Today and CNN will trumpet all day Monday how their polls of people who have already voted has Kerry up 8 points. Big f'n deal. That is the current equivalent of calling Florida for Gore an hour before the polls close in the heavily Republican panhandle. It is an attempt to lower the pro-Bush morale. The facts are all right in front of us, and Bush wins Florida.

- Just look at where Bush and Kerry have been over the last few weeks: Ohio and Florida, 2 states Bush won in 2000, and Iowa, New Mexico, Minnesota, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania, all Gore states in 2000. Would Bush be wasting his time in some or all of those blue states if he didn't have a real chance to win? Of course he wouldn't. Recently, the media tried to give out the impression that Arkansas and Missouri were back in play. If that were true, why hasn't Kerry appeared there? The Bush campaign has responded quickly to those opportunities, while Kerry did not. Why is that? Kerry is running a lousy campaign, but his people aren't stupid. They would have had Kerry (or least Edwards) in Arkansas and Missouri if they were back in play. That they didn't tells you all you need to know. On the other hand, if Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin were not real opportunities, Bush would not have wasted any time there when Ohio is worth 20 electoral votes.

- More to follow.

Why Bush is going to win - Part One

Bush is going to win on Tuesday. There is little doubt in my mind. I must admit that I get nervous from time to time, but I always go back to what I see, not what I hear, and feel better again. The reasons why Bush is going to be re-elected are many, and I wlll give you a few of them.

Look at the crowds coming to see Bush as compared to those going to see Kerry. Tonight, on Halloween, 47,000 people showed up to the Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati. In Columbus, the Nationwide Arena was packed to the rafters the other day. Over 30,000 at the Silverdome in Michigan. Over 23,000 at the Target Center in Minneapolis. Over 40,000 at Altell Stadium in Jacksonville last week.

And here is my favorite example, after the 3rd and final debate at my alma mater Arizona State:

PHOENIX (AP) — More than 44,500 people — many waving pom poms and signs — crowded into Bank One Ballpark on Wednesday to watch the presidential debate and to hear from President Bush in person.
Similarly, Democratic nominee John Kerry was greeted by cheering crowds at Tempe Town Lake near Grady Gammage Auditorium, where the debate was held. The throngs of supporters interrupted him at least once chanting his name.

He used the rally of at least 10,000 people, many of whom appeared to be college students, to criticize Bush's debate responses on health care and jobs.

I have been to Tempe Town Lake many times, and was skeptical of the number, so I talked to a few friends from ASU who support Kerry, and they laughed when I asked them if it was at least 10,000. (And, notice the confidence the writer uses when citing Bush's totals, and the "at least" qualifier for Kerry's.) They said closer to 5,000.

My friends, believe what you see, and not what the pollsters or the hacks tell you. The only crowd of real substance to come out and see Kerry was Madison, Wisconsin. However, think about it. Bruce Springsteen was playing there. I'm from Philly, and everyitme Springsteen announced 12 shows in Philly, they sold out in 5 minutes. I do not for a second believe Kerry could have drawn 25% of that crowd with Springsteen.

No one is forced to go out and see Bush or Kerry. The enthusiasm for Bush is huge and real, and the enthusiasm for Kerry just isn't there. The proof is there for all to see.

Happy Halloween

My family's votes and why

I'd love to hear a few family stories in the comments, especially if you support Bush and you have a family member supporting Kerry, or vice-versa. As for my family:

Stephanie: (NM voter) Finds Bush more pleasant and likeable. Like his values. Only watched some of the 3rd debate, and she HATED Kerry bringing up Cheney's daughter. Absolutely HATED it. Thought it was low and "scummy."

My sister: (PA voter) Bush. Likes his personality. Thinks Kerry has no personality. Says Kerry reminds her of the "bullshit artists" who tried to pick her up for all the years she was a bartender, the ones she humored but never paid any real attention to.

My mother: (NJ voter) Bush. "Kerry looks like a creep."

My father: (NJ voter) Bush. "I don't need the President to get me a job. I make my own work." He is all about taxes and terrorism. Was deeply affected by 9/11. And I mean deeply. Doesn't trust Kerry "as far as [he] could throw him."

My brother: (PA voter and registered Democrat) Bush. "I vote Democrat because the Democrats here in Philly are corrupt, and I make money from it. I'd vote for Kerry over Bush if they were running for mayor of Philly. My man Frank Rizzo would have voted for Bush."

Stephanie's Mom: (NM Voter) Bush. I have heard her curse only once. Ever. The morning of the Iowa caucuses, she saw Howard Dean on TV and said, "What an asshole." Likes Bush's faith and resolve.

Stephanie's Dad: (NM Voter) Bush. He was in the Navy from 1960-66. Enough said. Has called Kerry the following: "Asshole" "Huge Asshole" "Major Asshole" "Asshole Democrat" "A Real Asshole" and several other variations. Also said that "I don't know why they think that calling Bush a 'cowboy' is some sort of insult."

Stephanie's sister: (NM Voter)Kerry. Knows nothing about what is going on. Says "We shouldn't be in Iraq." Was a huge Dean supporter, but just couldn't get out to vote for the primary. Too busy that day.

Stephanie's Brother-in-Law: (NM Voter) Kerry. Is originally from Boston. Thinks Michael Moore is an honest man. Simply a typical uninformed liberal. Despite all that, a top-notch guy, a terrific uncle to my daughter, who absolutely adores him, as she should.

My cousin Jamie: (VA Voter) Bush: Currently in Mosul, Iraq. Voting for the guy who sent him there. So is "95% of the guys with [him there]."

My Uncle Andrew: (NJ Voter) Bush. Bush is a real leader and Kerry is "a piece of shit."

There you have it. Most of my immediate family supports Bush. One hting I am happy about. Bush lost New Mexico by 336 votes last time. The 4 votes he is getting from my family were not here 4 years ago, while the 2 Kerry votes were here in 2000, and voted for Gore.

Tell us about some of your family.

Interesting (for once) AP article

Some parts of this article caught my eye.

Bush, Kerry Crisscross Midwestern States

APPLETON, Wis. - As President Bush and John Kerry crisscrossed Midwest battleground states Saturday, a new poll showed the incumbent moving ahead of the Massachusetts senator in the popular vote, and Democrats said their private surveys also hinted at momentum for the president.

Throughout the battlegrounds, Kerry's mostly paid army of organizers was pitted against Bush's largely volunteer-driven team to get supporters to the polls Tuesday.

Of course, the pro-Kerry bias comes back soon after. But I was surprised that those 2 parts got past the AP editor.

I knew Karl Rove would get blamed

But I didn't think it would be that old, senile bastard Walter Cronkite:

Cronkite: "I'm a little inclined to think that Karl Rove, the political manager at the White House, who is a very clever man, he probably set up bin Laden to this thing."

Beyond hilarious.

Laugh of the day

Read the comments of those who are supporting Kerry. Remember, these are people who are endorsing Kerry. Some of my favorites:

Andrew Sullivan - I completely understand those who look at this man's record & deduce that he is simply unfit to fight a war for our survival. They have an important point.

Washington Post - Some of Mr. Kerry's strengths strike us as potential weaknesses.

Paul Berman -I'm voting for Kerry, with no great belief that he will be a first-rate president

Daniel Drezner - I remain completely unconvinced that Kerry understands the limits of multilateral diplomacy.

Scott Moore, Slate - These times demand strong positive leadership. I don't know if John Kerry can provide it, but...

We don't even have to make it up. Kerry supporters write it for us.

Sneak preview of late Tuesday night

This will be the scene at Kerry's "victory" celebration Tuesday night.

Thanks to Patrick for sending this.

bin Laden is back

Look at this, bin Laden is back (maybe):

Al-Jazeera Airs Videotape by Bin Laden

Looks like bin Laden got his copy of the Democrat talking points. He was even smart enough to mention that Kerry or Bush doesn't matter. Wow. He's probably registered to vote absentee in Chicago too.

I can't wait to hear what Kerry says about this.

Thursday, October 28, 2004

Can anyone confirm this?

I heard on the radio tonight that right after John Kerry shook hands with Bruce Springsteen on stage tonight, he looked at his hand and wiped it on his suit jacket. Is that true?

How long...

...before the liberals accuse Karl Rove of putting out that tape? Hell, even accuse him of being the guy on the tape?

Open letter to France

Dear France,

Please keep that scumbag Yassar Arafat alive and alert until Wednesday. This way, one of his final thoughts will be knowing that Bush was re-elected. After that, kindly let that murderous dirtbag die painfully.

Sincerely,

Brian

A teabag Bush endorsement

This is a very fair article about why some teabag thinks that Bush should be re-elected. I love the title:

Look at Bush's enemies: they are the reason why he deserves re-election

Some of the criticism of Bush contained here are overstated. Some are totally legitimate. But, the writer gets it, knows that Bush gets it, and America does too. That is why Bush will win on Tuesday. I love this part:

But above all, in this oppositional sort of age, when it is often easier to be defined by what one is against rather than what one is for, I have to say it is his enemies who most justify Mr Bush’s re-election.

The list of those whose world could be truly rocked on Tuesday is just too long and too rich to be ignored. If you think for a moment about those who would really be upset by a second Bush term, it becomes a lot easier to stomach
.

That is why Bush is spending this last week asking Democrats to stand with him. Many Democrats know that Bush is right about what is important.

Open offer to Kerry supporters

Please e-mail us why you are supporting Kerry. (Especially Mikelx and Steve Ex-Pat)

Here is the real challenge: I want to hear why you are supporting Kerry, and not why you are opposing Bush.

I will post all pro-Kerry e-mails (as space allows) tomorrow afternoon. After all, this is not a liberal site, so you know we welcome opposing views here.

Bush at the Silverdome

Were you there? The Detroit Free Press says that there were both "nearly 20,000 people" and "more than 20,000."

I'd like to know if those numbers are accurate, or understated, because, the Detroit News says there were "nearly 30,000 supporters."

From the same story in the Detroit Press:

Kerry, who spoke to an overflow crowd at Macomb Community College on Monday, also is expected to make a return trip to Michigan before the election.

By the way, what stadiums has Kerry been speaking at? I haven't seen him at any, but I have seen Bush at quite a few.

Amazing, isn't it?

For well over a year now, we have pounded over the head with some variation of this: "Bush lied. Saddam had no WMD's. Saddam was not a threat."

Now, a week before the election, we are bombarded with, "Bush is incompetent because he didn't secure those dangerous weapons, which are being used against are troops and can be used to make triggers for nuclear weapons."

So, in sum, the Democrat argument is, "Bush did not secure the weapons that he lied about and Saddam didn't have anyway."

Hey Democrats: DO YOU REALLY THINK THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ARE ABSOLUTE DOPES? You must. There is no other explanation.

And, no matter how much the Democrat spinmeisters try to deny it, Kerry IS DEGRADING OUR TROOPS, JUST LIKE HE DID IN 1971!! No wonder the Swift Boat Vets hate his guts. And, no matter what you think, the troops see it as a slap in their faces.

I cannot for the life of me believe that Kerry has a chance to win on Tuesday. (Although he won't, so accept that Bush will be around another 4 years Democrats.) There are so many Americans gullible enough to believe that Bush will reinstate the draft, who still think the New York Times is an honest newspaper, and that John Kerry "supports the troops" when his entire career, in his words and actions, has made our military out to be dumb savages, while voting to cut off every nickel from them that he could.

Democrats should be ashamed of themselves. If Bush is as bad as you act, then explain to me why you are forced to outright lie in an attempt to get him? Just like I know that if half the charges against Bush were true, he'd lose 49 states, I know that the majority of American people are wise enough to know Kerry is scum and will vote accordingly.

Last thought: Democrats are suing all over the place over the election. Now, if they thought they were going to win, they wouldn't be trying to delegitimize that vote count, would they? You already know the answer.

Hey Ohio, take note

Bush and Kerry will be on ESPN's Sports Center Monday night. Remember that Kerry said this:

The Democratic challenger also said he didn't think Pete Rose should be in the Baseball Hall of Fame.

"He'd be a slam dunk on performance," Kerry said. "But as we know from Shoeless Joe (Jackson) and other experiences, gambling is treated differently and it's over the line."

Come to think of it, I hope my fellow Phillies fans take note of this as well. After all, without Pete Rose, the Phils don't win the 1980 World Series.

Arafat croaking

Let's hope that murderous scumbag Yassar Arafat is never heard from again.

Ailing Arafat Still in Serious Condition

Lee from Right-Thinking said it best: Die, You Terrorist Vermin

Line of the day

From Dick Morris:

At long range and at long last, [Bush] is making the case that terrorism is the only issue that really matters. To discuss anything else after 9/11 is like asking Mrs. Lincoln: "Other than that, how did you like the play?"

Oh the humanity!!

After seeing this video, I am now planning to vote for Kerry. The nerve of Bush to put up his middle finger and joke about it. next thing you know, he might fart in front of his wife.

Seriously. It's amazing, isn't it, that the left whot hinks everyone should indulge in profanity, pornography, and drugs whenever one feels like it turn around and think we are going to be shocked by this.

Bush is a funny guy. Can you imagine Kerry every joking like that? Of course not.

Kerry and the NY Times

Democratic talking point of the week

The polls that have Bush ahead are wrong because they don't count cell phones. Last week, the problem was that too many likely voters were counted as comapred to registered voters. Or maybe it was the other way around. It is hard to keep up with.

Once again, this is all you need to know about polls, and why I don't bother with them. One says Kerry, the other says Bush, every poll conducted by a university says Kerry. It'll drive you insane.

The bombardment is on

A week to go before the election, and for the next week, we'll get punded over the head with headlines like this:

FBI Says Murders Up for 4th Straight Year

WASHINGTON - Every type of violent crime fell last year with one notable exception: Murders were up for the fourth straight year, according to an annual FBI report released Monday.

After reaching a low point in 1999 of about 15,500 homicides, the number has crept up steadily since then to more than 16,500 in 2003 — or almost six murders for every 100,000 U.S. residents
.

That damn Bush has got everyone in a killing mood. It must be him. After all, the killing started going up in 2000.

U.N.: 400 Tons of Iraq Explosives Missing

International Atomic Energy Agency chief Mohamed ElBaradei reported the disappearance to the U.N. Security Council on Monday, two weeks after he said Iraq told the nuclear agency that the explosives had vanished from the former Iraqi military installation as a result of "theft and looting ... due to lack of security."

The disappearance raised questions about why the United States didn't do more to secure the Al-Qaqaa facility 30 miles south of Baghdad and failed to allow full international inspections to resume after the March 2003 invasion

Bush Aide Draws Fire with Pre-Election Speech

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (Reuters) - President Bush's national security adviser touted the president's foreign policy to a Jewish group on Monday in a speech Democrats said was as a blatant foray into Bush's re-election campaign.

C'mon. Only the whiny bitch Democrats are upset that a strong, black woman is speaking for Bush. Makes them look bad.

Democrats say Rice and other officials like Treasury Secretary John Snow and Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge have been making most of their federally paid trips in swing states like Florida, Pennsylvania and Ohio, all of which may be critical in deciding the outcome of the Nov. 2 election.

Wow. I must have missed the Democrat outrage that Kerry has been getting paid for not showing up to work and that Max Cleland is out bashing Bush while being on the federal payroll to the tune of 136 Large a year.

My friends, we'll be getting a week of this crap. By all means, pass on any hilarious Bush-bashing headline or story you come across. Remember, we want to make this last week fun.

The huge crowds for Bush

Bush spoke yesterday at Alltell Stadium in Jacksonville, and will be speaking this week at the Silverdome in Pontiac, Michigan. Kerry is speaking in parking lots and banquet halls.

Have I missed Kerry speaking to crowds of 20,000, 30,000 or more? Wouldn't the media be telling me every 5 minutes how Kerry drew 40,000 to a stadium?

Correct me if I am wrong, but the angry favor Kerry and the enthusiastic favor Bush. And, if I missed Kerry playing to a huge crowd, let me know.

Telephone pollsters

Since I live in the swing state of New Mexico (where Bush is going to win this time), over the last 2-3 weeks my phone has been rinigng off the hook. There are only 3 types of calls I have been getting: My girlfriend's sister, the usual solicitors, and pollsters. Tonight, my girlfriend got this call, which I will relay to you what she told me:

Caller: Hi, I am from [some women's group] and I wanted to congratulate you on registering to vote. I just wanted to make sure we can count on your support for John Kerry.

Stephanie: "Uh, no. I am voting for George Bush."

Caller: {Dead silence and hangup]

The recent reports that Bush has strong support among women must be getting to the Kerry people. They are the third women's group to call this weekend, and I have been bombarded with ads by Kerry talking about woman's pay disparity and Kerry saying he will kill the terrorists. [Funny, isn't it? When Bush talks of killing the terrorists, the MSM talks about how that insensitivity and arrogance turns off women, but as soon as Kerry loses support amongst women, and talks about killing terrorists, they play it as Kerry being strong and resolute.]

I have gotten calls from so many pollsters, it has been a joke. Rasmussen has called twice, and I have never heard of the rest. ANd I tell them all the same thing: Terrorism and taxes are the issue, and I am 100% for President Bush and Congresswoman Heather Wilson.

Have you been called day and night by pollsters? Tell us about it in the comments, and let us know what state you are in.

Kerry: Man of integrity, integrity, integrity

Jean Francois said he met with the entire U.N. Security Council the week before the vote on Iraq. It seems that Kerry's statement was not entirely accurate. Not even close.

This deserves its own post

This is the commens thread for this post, about Al Gore stumping for Kerry in Florida.

Brian, don't quit your day job. Posting your opinion on a blog does not make you an expert.

Did you see what Andrew Sullivan said today:

"When you lose the Brits and half your own country in a vital war, you deserve to be fired as president. I'm sorry, but it's time the pro-war camp began to deal with this."

Andrew Sullivan? Understand this about him. He is a HIV-positive homosexual, and his interests are first and foremost the homosexual agenda. He conned people for a while, and they have caught on. That is why his page hits have dropped in half over the last few months. Quote him elsewhere. We don't care. If he were honest, he'd be for Bush since Bush is the first President to actually seriously take on AIDS. Clinton talked, but did squatta.

"Backing someone into a corner does not mean you win the debate."

Jared, he brought up Sullivan's homosexuality to discredit Sullivan's opinion of George Bush. Neither has anything to do with each other, and it was unnecessary. So I won the debate when he immediatly brought up a different issue.
Mikelx | Email | Homepage | 10.21.04 - 11:22 pm | #

My answer to Mikelx:

You are damn right I brought up Sullivan's homosexuality to discredit him. If you read him regularly, like I once did, you would know that his support for the war in Iraq ended the same day Bush announced his support for a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage. Sullivan was immediately exposed as a con man.

Sullivan's homosexuality has everything to do with what he says. It is not another issue, it is a huge part of the discussion, like it or not. Like nearly all homosexuals, his worldview is defined by his homosexuality. You call me a bigot for bringing it up. Fine, so be it. Think what you may. Do I have a problem with his being an HIV-positive homosexual? Frankly, its his life and his problem, and I don't care one way or the other. But, if you are going to quote him as an authority here, I am going to make sure that those who don't know anything about Sullivan know exactly where he comes from. Sullivan's comment,

"When you lose the Brits and half your own country in a vital war, you deserve to be fired as president. I'm sorry, but it's time the pro-war camp began to deal with this"

is pure crap. He hates Bush over gay marriage, plain and simple. Bringing up the war to bash Bush is cover, because Sullivan is a smart man, and knows that he can't scream gay marriage to bash Bush because it is a loser. And, ol' teabag Andrew (I mean teabag as in Brit, not what he does on weekends) should know by now that Americans respect Brits, but don't base their decisions on what Brits think about them. We kicked them out around 230 years ago because we were not interested in their opinions.

Mike, it is subterfuge. That is my opinion, and I stand by it. You are right that posting my opinion does not make me an expert. But you can never say my opinions don't have backup, and I do not quote from talking points and meaningless stats and polls. I give you my gut, which comes from my experience. We have comments so you can disagree, which I welcome. This isn't a liberal website, where those who stray form the plantation are banned.

You are always welcome to disagree, or, if you need to reinforce your beliefs, there is always Oliver "paid by George Soros" Willis and Kos to keep you feeling good.

E-mail from here in ABQ

John R. sent me this picture, from the Albuquerque Journal, and titled the e-mail: News from the forgotten battleground state of New Mexico.

A heavily fortified presidential campaign sign greets oncoming traffic Wednesday morning on a busy Nob Hill-area street.

Hey, John, I don't know if you knew this, but I am in Albuquerque, and I attend UNM School of Law. I saw that sign because a guy I go to law school with told me about it, and we drove by. I was listening to 770 AM KKOB today and they were talking about an old man who was told to take his Bush sign down because it was too big and violated the ordinance. Is this the same one, do you know? (Of course, no one has complained about the Kerry signs of the same size all over town.)

At UNM Law, I am one of the only Bush supporters, and everyone knows it. The Kerry liberals have yet to give me a reason to vote for Kerry, only anti-Bush nonsense they learned from Michael Moore. One good thing, though. Except for the few diehards, I have seen them slowly become discouraged, because they know that Kerry is going to lose.

Bush is going to win here. And I am going to rub it in hard come November 3rd.

Thanks for sending that.

Why we love Dick Cheney

I just love this:

SYLVANIA, Ohio -- Vice President Dick Cheney poked fun at Sen. John Kerry's goose hunting Thursday, arguing that the image of the gun-toting, camouflaged Democrat was an "October disguise" that masked his voting record against gun rights.

Absolutely hilarious!!

I am studying for my Torts midterm, so I do not have adequate time to respond. So I ask the readers to respond to this dope for me.

I'll just say this: The military is not a victim group, and they know exactly why they are fighting. This is why gutless pussy liberals like this dope, who think that their rights come from a piece of paper (one that is adjusted to mean whatever they need it to mean at the time) and from peace marches, are so far in the minority in this country. They just don't get it. The military supports Bush because he respects them back, and doesn't treat them like a victim group or a bunch of children. It is gutless worm liberals who need everything explained again and again, like children. The military doesn't. They know why they are in Iraq. They remember 9/11. They know that our freedom comes from sacrifices by them, not from the ACLU.

It is this attitude, shared by you and your liberal pals, that will assure Bush of re-election. Liberalism is a LOSER. Why else do you think Kerry runs from that "label?"

4 more years of Bush. Get used to it.

Laugh of the Day

From our friends at the Democratic Underground:

Hey Democrats, ask yourself this

Why is Kerry campaigning in Michigan on Monday?

And answer honestly to yourself. Think about it. Every poll in the country has given Michigan to Kerry, and rather easily. If that is true, then why is he there when Ohio, Wisconsin, Florida, and Iowa are so important? If you were to believe the polls, Kerry campaigning in Michigan is like Bush campaigning in North Carolina. If Bush were in North Carolina, I'd be nervous as hell right now.

This is why I tell you never to follow the polls, and instead concentrate on where the candidates are. They know best.

This is great news

Gore to Stump for Kerry in Florida

Oct. 21, 2004 — As if the Florida recount of 2000 didn't loom large enough in the minds of voters and politicians, ABC News has learned that former Vice President Al Gore will campaign for Sen. John Kerry this weekend in Florida.

Kerry made the request of Gore, the 2000 Democratic presidential nominee, over the weekend in a telephone conversation, Democratic sources told ABC News.

There are 2 reasons why this is great news. First, Gore is insane, and he will turn off voters left and right in Florida. Just remember what happened to Howard Dean's campaign ddon after Gore endorsed him.

Second, Al Gore has ZERO< ZILCH, NADA appeal to moderates and conservatives. Kerry putting him out there is more prove of how Kerry is concerned about his base.

I hope Gore re-enacts his Georgetown and NYU speeches.

Picture of the year

This is that scumbag Fidel Castro after he fell on his creaky old ass.

Tonight on LV Rocks

I had a great time tonight on LV Rocks, arguing with a few Kerry supporters. I will get the MP3 so you can hear for yourself. Unlike the left wing nuts, these guys were pretty grounded, although they did have their "See F-9/11 for proof" moments.

I would offer the Kerry supporters advice: Stop reading the talking points and citing statistics to prove that America is in bad shape. You know better. You see it daily with your own eyes.

Shaun and Debbie, the hosts, treated me quite well and I enjoyed being on. It reminded me of old times.

Check us out live on the internet

I will be a guest tonight on the internet radio station LVROCKS.COM on Wednesday night at 8pm PST (10 in Houston and 11 in Philly), on a show called STD: Subject to Discussion. I get to go against a Kerry supporter.

I hope you can check it out. I used to be on Philly radio and was a DJ for a long time, so I will represent our blog quite well.

Make sure you listen while you are doing your nightly surfing, or whatever. If you miss it, I will get the MP3 and leave it up for you to hear another time.

If you listen, make sure you let me know what you think.

You would have to be...

...as dumb as Steve the Ex-Pat living in New Zealand to actually believe this story:

Bush Receives Endorsement From Iran

TEHRAN, Iran - The head of Iran's security council said Tuesday that the re-election of President Bush was in Tehran's best interests, despite the administration's axis of evil label, accusations that Iran harbors al-Qaida terrorists and threats of sanctions over the country's nuclear ambitions.

Yeah, I believe the mullahs 100%. They'd perfer the guy who has said that "Iran will not get nuclear weapons" and has the credibility and balls to back it up over the guy who wants to give them nuclear fuel and accomodate them. And, if you aren't laughing yet, this will sure make you keel over:

Historically, Democrats have harmed Iran more than Republicans, said Hasan Rowhani, head of the Supreme National Security Council, Iran's top security decision-making body.

"We haven't seen anything good from Democrats," Rowhani told state-run television in remarks that, for the first time in recent decades, saw Iran openly supporting one U.S. presidential candidate over another.

Though Iran generally does not publicly wade into U.S. presidential politics, it has a history of preferring Republicans over Democrats, who tend to press human rights issues.

"We do not desire to see Democrats take over," Rowhani said when asked if Iran was supporting Democratic Sen. John Kerry against Bush.

HAHAHAHAHA!! You mean Jimmy Carter really hurt them when he did next to nothing and let Iran hold our people hostage for 444 days? Or when Clinton apologozed to them in 1998, 2 years after Iran-backed Hezbollah bombed the Khobar Towers in Saudi Arabia? Yeah, right. They really want Bush to win.

Those scumbag mullahs know our political system quite well. They know that foreign leaders endorsing Kerry is bad for Kerry. So, they are trying to play us for fools thinking since they support Bush, we should support Kerry.

If you believe Iran for one second, then you have spent too much time on Kos and Oliver Willis. Go out for some air.

This is why Kerry will lose

Let's run down a few things that went down only today:

Kerry team slams reports VP Cheney had a flu shot

Democratic Senator Biden calls Bush "brain dead"

And Terrrr-ay-za said:"Well, you know, I don't know Laura Bush. But she seems to be calm, and she has a sparkle in her eye, which is good," Heinz Kerry said. "But I don't know that she's ever had a real job — I mean, since she's been grown up. So her experience and her validation comes from important things, but different things."

And, then there's this, which is probably the first truthful thing to come out of Michael Moore's mouth since the last time he answered "yes" to the question "are you hungry?" [link gone..hmmm]

"The reason they call Kerry the #1 liberal senator is because he is the #1 liberal senator."

I don't even know where to begin. Dick Cheney is the Vice-F'n-President of the United States, and has had several heart attacks. Do the Kerry people think he should not do all he can to take care of himself? They reveal their true feelings by ripping Cheney.

This flu vaccine "crisis" is pure bullshit. Really, how many people are going to die without having a flu shot? About the same exact number that die every year from the flu.

And, Kerry's allowance provider, who as far as I can tell only once worked briefly at the U.N., is criticizing Laura Bush? Mrs. Bush was a teacher and librarian before she became a mother, and is a hell of a lot classier than Tur-eyh-zah.

Take a look at the daily tomfoolery coming from the Democrats. They must think Americans are real dopes. Two weeks from now, Americans will show the Dopeycrats who the real dopes are, when they re-elect Bush.

I wrote you once before.

I am DC1(SW) Bradley I am a 17 year navy vet. I am now getting concerned about Bush wining reelection. Kerry is really pulling out all stops by lying cheating and deceiving the American people. If Kerry gets in to office most of my shipmates agree that our careers will be ruined. Our Commander and Chief gave us a lot and worked to take care of us, but I have an awful feeling if Kerry wins no more pay raises, taxed to death and a weak navy cause no one would want to serve under a man who committed treason. I have a family 4 children and a wife I need my military job. So please let's keep our Commander and Chief for 4 more years.

Respectfully DC1(SW) Bradley

Harvard ain't all bad

A Harvard Professor (stunningly) makes a great case against Kerry's argument that terrorism is a law enforcement issue.

Terrorism and the Mob

[Hat tip: The Vodka Pundit]

Sorry Democrats...

...but no October surprise is coming, at least not from Bush. I am convinced, and have been for a while, that bin Laden is as dead as Julius Caesar.

Read this for some deeper thoughts on the matter.

Winners and losers

Jed Babbin takes a look at who actually wins if Kerry is elected, and if Bush is elected:

November Losers

Some examples: When Bush wins, the losers will be CBS, NY Times, the U.N., Iran, Syria, and, my favorite, the EUnuchs, (Chirac and Schroeder), and those criminals from OPEC. I'd add to that list Arafat, Kim Jong-Il, the ACLU, Michael Moore, NBC, ABC, CNN, Paul Krugman, and George Soros.

On the off chance that Kerry wins, the losers will be the American soldier, Israel, doctors. However, as with all things, there is a positive: Hillary would be a huge loser.

Look on the bright side Democrats. Four more years of lying about Bush should be a lot more fun than four years of lying to cover Kerry's ass.

Bush in New Jersey

The President, visiting Marlton, New Jersey, right next to the one where I used to live, made this perfect point:

Senator Kerry believes that fighting Zarqawi and other terrorists in Iraq is a "diversion" from the war on terror. (Boos.) I believe that fighting and defeating these killers in Iraq is an essential commitment in the war on terror. (Cheers, applause.) If Zarqawi and his associates were not busy fighting American forces in Iraq, does Senator Kerry think they would be leading productive and peaceful lives? (Laughter.) Clearly, these killers would be plotting and acting to murder innocent civilians in free nations, including our own. By facing these terrorists far away, our military's making the United States of America more secure. (Cheers, applause.)

Just perfect.

Kerry goes back to 9/10

Kerry's Senate Record

Reading Kerry's entire Senate record reminds me of that joke in the movie Airplane. "Here, read this leaflet of Jewish sports heroes."

Thanks to Professor Bainbridge for putting it together. Certainly a quick read.

Caption Contest Winner

The winner of our caption contest is....drumroll...Geoffrey Gallant of (I love this) Quincy, Mass.

The runners-up:

During a Democratic campaign rally, long-time decorated Vietnam Veteran and Presidental Candidate, Senator John Kerry suffered a minor flashback in which he threatened audience members with an imaginary knife. Senator Kerry was quoted as saying "Die you commie zipperheads!"

John Kerry lowers the imaginary M-79 grenade launcher he "carries" to all campaign speeches after re-enacting the heroic rock-shooting episode that earned him his first Purple Heart. His wife and daughter watch, each hoping the other had remembered the tranquilizer darts.

The next contest will be up later today. Thanks to Schpeen for supplying that pic.

John Edwards is a pretty little bitch

Watch this video. That fat Socialist weasel Michael Moore thought that using video like this (especially the Paul Wolfowitz clip) in F-911 was funny. I'll bet he doesn't like this one nearly as much.

Team America

Have you seen the movie "Team America?" If you have leave your review in the comments.

I saw it Saturday afternoon and laughed my balls off. Two scences I especially loved: When Kim Jong-Il called Hans Blix a cocksucker and fed him to a shark, and when the computer named Intelligence said their place was destroyed by a "fat, Socialist weasel." (He was referring to Michael Moore, of course)

Stone and Parker are sick bastards, pure and simple.

No matter who wins...

...the outcry about the lack of flu vaccines will go away on November 3rd. Of course, today we found out that Bush is going to kill 1000 people in Iowa.

I cannot wait until Bush wins and all of this crap goes away. Th shamelessness of the Democrats is out-f'n-rageous.

More context

Surprisingly, the New York Times' endorsement of Michale Dukakis in 1988 is very fair to George H. W. Bush. But, in the end, they find a way to endorse Dukakis, using the usual nonsense.

Both candidates have responded conscientiously to the rising need for early childhood intervention. Mr. Dukakis offers an imaginative college loan plan and speaks with feeling about extending his Massachusetts health insurance plan. In contrast to his opponent, he expresses admirable respect for the reproductive rights of women and the civil rights of minorities.

He also rates clear preference on the environment. A study last April of environmental efforts ranked Massachusetts first, with Wisconsin, among all the states. Mr. Bush's positions reflect a very recent conversion. Previously, he helped block or delay regulatory protections, like one to reduce lead in gasoline, and has failed to advance regulatory reforms that would lower cleanup costs
.

And, they might as well just re-ran this part today:

On the eve of struggle over which Americans must sacrifice to reduce the deficit, Mr. Bush proposes, needlessly and recklessly, to give away billions to the rich. People earning more than $200,000 would get almost 75 percent of the benefit. Far from putting out the fire, Mr. Bush would pour on gasoline.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. (Sorry no links, but I got these from Lexis-Nexis.)

For context purposes

Let me quote some of the New York Times' endorsement of Walter Mondale on October 28, 1984:

So why not re-elect the President? For three reasons. First, because of the way he has paid for our recovery, and his popularity: with the pain of millions of people thrown out of work in the last four years and with the hundreds of billions of dollars Government must borrow in the next four.

Second, because much of the rest of his domestic program is repugnant. Mr. Reagan has punished the poor and retreated from civil rights. He has, laudably, continued the deregulation begun by Jimmy Carter. But the same President who vows to get Government off people's backs has recklessly pushed its nose into the most private realms of religion and family life.

Finally, and most important, because Mr. Reagan's diplomacy, mostly ineffective, has also been dangerous. Not only has he failed to stabilize the nuclear arms race but he has propelled it to new heights and lacks any plausible strategy for regaining control.

Sound familiar? Sure does to me. Especially the last part. Reagan didn't kiss the world's ass enough, and give in to the Commies, and thus deserves to go. Some things will never change.

Because of his lifelong opposition to arms control, Mr. Reagan might have driven good bargains with the Russians. Yet unlike every other President of the nuclear era, he lacks the conviction and dedicated personnel to achieve agreement, or even a good plan for achieving it.

Ahhh..just like Bush today. Reagan didn't make enough concessions, and doesn't have a plan. We all know how that turned out.

Lawyer Mondale offers pragmatic skill at making the best of reality. Ideologue Reagan offers the same tenacity that has brought him out diplomatically empty-handed. Who is likely to do better in arms negotiations in the next term, Walter Mondale or the President who tickles the religious right by reviling the Soviet Union as an Evil Empire?

Just switch "Reagan" and "Soviet Union" for "Bush" and "terrorism."

As for the environment, Mr. Reagan was too long content to let his record be written by James Watt and Anne Burford and other zealots who sabotaged or flouted the laws to protect air, water and human health.

Yep. Reagan destroyed the environment too.

Unless most economists are crazy, the country can't keep borrowing $200 billion a year. Everyone knows that spending cuts can't suffice. Everyone knows a tax increase is well-nigh inevitable. For all his feigned horror, Mr. Reagan knows it, too. The question is not whether there'll be a tax increase but whether the burden will be distributed fairly. On the evidence of his first term, Mr. Reagan will soak the poor, favor the rich and throw more money at the Pentagon.

Gee, do they just pull out the template every 4 years?

It is important for you to see that the New York Times would endorse a goat if it had a D next to it, and would villify Mother Theresa for "poor diplomacy," "tax cuts for the rich," and accuse her of destroying the environment if she had an R next to her name.

Or, simply put, fuck the New York Times.

I'm stunned by this

The suspense is over: The New York Times has endorsed (drumroll) Jean-Francois Kerry!!

John Kerry for President

Let's have some fun with this:

Senator John Kerry goes toward the election with a base that is built more on opposition to George W. Bush than loyalty to his own candidacy. But over the last year we have come to know Mr. Kerry as more than just an alternative to the status quo. We like what we've seen. He has qualities that could be the basis for a great chief executive, not just a modest improvement on the incumbent.

Basically, the New York Times, unlike Kerry's base of "support," uniquely realizes the potential of Kerry. Sure, he's destined for greatness. Must be that distinguished Senate record that proves it.

We have been impressed with Mr. Kerry's wide knowledge and clear thinking - something that became more apparent once he was reined in by that two-minute debate light. He is blessedly willing to re-evaluate decisions when conditions change. And while Mr. Kerry's service in Vietnam was first over-promoted and then over-pilloried, his entire life has been devoted to public service, from the war to a series of elected offices. He strikes us, above all, as a man with a strong moral core.

Clear thinking? I still don't know what he'd do about Iraq. Willing to re-evaluate when conditions change? Uh, no. Willing to change positions with the daily news cycles and the political winds. He doesn't think past this week. That is not a "strong moral core." Not even close.

[I won't even bother with the next 4 paragraphs. The left-wing litany: Ashcroft is evil, Bush is [wink, wink, a racist] for opposing affirmative action, bad on the environment, etc.]

The president who lost the popular vote got a real mandate on Sept. 11, 2001. With the grieving country united behind him, Mr. Bush had an unparalleled opportunity to ask for almost any shared sacrifice. The only limit was his imagination.

He asked for another tax cut and the war against Iraq.

The president's refusal to drop his tax-cutting agenda when the nation was gearing up for war is perhaps the most shocking example of his inability to change his priorities in the face of drastically altered circumstances. Mr. Bush did not just starve the government of the money it needed for his own education initiative or the Medicare drug bill. He also made tax cuts a higher priority than doing what was needed for America's security; 90 percent of the cargo unloaded every day in the nation's ports still goes uninspected
.

That's right my friends. Bush is a failure because he missed a golden opportunity to raise taxes after 9/11. And the ports things is traight from the DNC talking points.

I won't even bother anymore with the litany of complaints against Bush, or how Kerry will implement the liberal agenda that the New York Times prefers. The Times "enthusiastically" endorsed Kerry. And they will be monumentally disappointed. Then again, they should be happy. Four more years of Bush-bashing should be a lot more fun that 4 years of Kerry ass-covering.

Even more shockingly, in the next week or so, we'll be endorsing George W. Bush for re-election.

Catch us live on the internet

I will be a guest on the internet radio station LVROCKS.COM this Wednesday night at 8pm, on a show called STD: Subject to Discussion. Last week they had the Left Wing Army on, and this week, I will be the counterbalance.

More details as I get them, but I hope you can check it out. I used to be on Philly radio and was a DJ for a long time, so I will represent our blog quite well.

Help this guy too

My name is Adam Savell. I need your help. I am attending USF. We have a huge problem on campus right now. There is Virtually NO representation on campus of any of the Republicans, Pro-Life, Anti-Kerry orgs. I took it upon my self to take pictures of every bulletin board on campus to demonstrate to the RNC Office the severity of the situation. I was on campus and the bulletin boards were covered with Move-on.org, Micheal Moores, NAACP, and all sorts of prochoice and what not. There is a huge College democrat group on campus and they really have their act together. But NOT ONE SINGLE CONSERVATIVE FLYER ON CAMPUS before of after the debates. I am asking you for help. Do you have flyers? Do you know where to get them? Could you draw some? I don't have the resources especially this late in the election season. I'm just a student there. I don't have any funds. I will be responsible for the printing and so forth if you could forward me some material. If you have anything at all that I may be able to use please forward to me either at this address or at bodozodpha@aol.com. Just having the appearance of a presence on campus could change the whole climate here.
Thank you ,
Adam

Help out a young reader

I received this e-mail today:

Hi,

I'm 16 and have to do a persuasive speech for school. I chose the topic of Iraq. I believe it was totally necessary to remove saddam from power. Do you know where I could find any info on his direct ties to Al Queada, and all the instances where he had tested his chemical and biological weapons? I'd appreciate any help! Thanks!

Ben

OK readers, help Ben out in the comments. And, does someone have the link that lists quote after quote by John Kerry, Al Gore, Bill Clinton, etc, saying how much of a threat Saddam was?

I'd advise Ben to start with those. His classmates and his NEA-hack teacher will probably think they are all Bush quotes.

Caption Contest

We have a winner of our last Caption Contest, and I will post it as soon as the winner replies back.

Now, you have a duty. Have you seen a great Kerry photo for a caption contest? If so, please e-mail me the link or leave it in the comments, and we'll have a new contest and I'll offer another book to the winner.

Get to work.

Forget the pollsters

Kerry is finished, and I don't need any polls to tell me that. How do I know Kerry is finished? Because he is telling me every day by his own actions. For example:

Kerry Warns Draft Possible if Bush Wins

Pure desperation. There is no other way to explain him bringing up this dead dog again.

And, just take a look at where he and Edwards are going in the next week, )other than Ohio, of course): Wisconsin, Iowa, New Jersey, Minnesota, Oregon, and New Hampshire. These are all blue states (save NH) and yet Kerry and Edwards are all over them in order to defend them from Bush. On the other hand, Bush is attacking Kerry showing up in Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and even New Jersey, and doesn't have to defend states that should easily belong to him. (It would be like Bush campaigning in Nebraska, Oklahoma, and South Carolina, for example).

Kerry is done. Get used to it Democrats.

Basically, this is the state of the Kerry campaign:

More brilliance from Michael Ramirez

Kerry's heroes

My friends, these are the scum that John Kerry thinks has more legitimacy than the United States of America:

U.N.: 70,000 Have Died in Sudan Camps

Guess who runs those camps? That's right, the morally superior, uniquely legitimate Kofi Annan and the U.N.

GENEVA - At least 70,000 refugees have died since March because of poor conditions in camps in Sudan's Darfur region, and more will die at the same rate unless countries contribute the $300 million in aid they promised, the U.N. health agency said Friday.

Ahhh, of course. The problem is money. I guess it has to come from somewhere now that the Oil-for-Food scam is out of business. If it weren't for people dying, I'd wish we'd tell the U.N. to "f-off, you ain't getting a dime."

So far, the United Nations has only received half of the $300 million it needs for Darfur, he said.

"I am personally concerned that we still don't have a significant enough popular perception around the world of the enormity of the suffering experienced by people in Darfur and Chad, where disease and suffering is being experienced on a quite extraordinary and inhuman scale," Nabarro said.

The United Nations and aid groups have called Darfur the world's worst humanitarian crisis.

What the hell have they done with the other $150 million dollars? I could have built a modern town with a Wal-Mart and a Burger King with that kind of money.

Kofi Annan belongs in jail. He is the biggest criminal on the planet.

Caption Contest winner...

...will be announced as soon as Gary and Paul get around to e-mailing me their choices. They are lazy bastards. Seriously, Gary was too busy on his latest creation, and Paul was, well, being Paul, but I am sure they'll get them to me soon and we'll announce the winner.

Swift Boad Ads

This week, during the St. Louis-Tampa Bay Monday Night Football game on ABC (by the way, isn't this like the 4th year in a row or something they have played each other on MNF? How about a different matchup guys?) the Swift Boat Vets will run an ad that I trust you will find very simple, and very powerful.

Click here to view it. Make sure you have Quick Time.

Or if you have Windows Media Player, see both ads here. Devestating. Just devestating.

This deserves its own post

I said this in the previous post:

You think he wasn't protecting Kerry? Then explain to me why stem cell research was virtually ignored. You already know why. So that Bush could not bang Kerry for what Edwards said the other day. The MSM has buried the story, and I'll bet there are not a lot of people who know that Edwards promised that people like Christopher Reeve would walk again under a Kerry administration.

Stem-cell research has been a big issue for Kerry and the Democrats. While I don't know enough about it to have a strong opinion, I do know that it seems that Kerry is on the much more popular side of the issue. So, why did it not come up once in a debate on domestics issues? Because Schieffer is towing the CBS company line and protecting Kerry. If this does not convince you of the disgusting media bias in this country, then nothing will. Go ahead, give me another plausible reason for stem cell research to be ignored. I'd love to hear it.

Line of the night

I spent awhile reading many blogs after I posted my thoughts on the debate. My favorite lines of the night comes from the Vodka Pundit, who liveblogged the debate:

8:10. I'd like to hear Bush say, "I'm going to nuke the next motherf'er who even looks at our country sidewise - twice if he's in the French cabinet." And I'd like to hear Kerry say, "I'm going to tax you bastards back to the Stone Age." Something, anything, to generate some sparks.

8:13. "Bush hates blacks!" Well, except for Condi and Colin and all those other "house niggers." Kerry is shameless on race. Shameless.

8:18. "Everything is a gift from the Almighty," Kerry just said. Now, I know every politician panders. But when Bush talks religion, much as it usually annoys me, I buy it. When Kerry says something like he just did, it makes me wish a thunderbolt would hit him, emblazoned with the words, "Take THIS gift, sucker." Because he's treating me like a sucker - and I'm not even religious.

I don't always agree with the VP, but he is an honest and insightful blogger, and you should read him as often as I do. He is voting for Bush, but, unlike Kerry voters, he hits Bush hard with honest criticism. If Kerry's supporters did the same, Kerry would have a much better chance of winning, because Kerry would have been forced to keep himself in check.

Thoughts on tonight's debate

- I hope enough people watched the debate instead of the baseball playoffs, because if they did, we won't have to "trade down" to Kerry this November.

- Speaking of that, Kerry sounded like a real tool when he mentioned that he "traded up." I was laughing my ass off. I guess going from a $300 million wife to a near billionaire wife is trading up indeed.

- Kerry brought the same lines to every debate, and offered little new tonight. Bush adjusted and sharpened his message. I am proud of him for that.

- Bringing up Cheney's daughter again, just like Edwards did, was disgraceful. if you are a homosexual, tell me again why you support Democrats hook, line, and sinker, when they treat you like imbeciles? (In other words, the same way they treat blacks) Ms. Cheney's personal life is not "fair game."

- Did you notice how heartfelt Bush spoke of his wife? My girlfriend surely did. So did my mother, who actually called me after the debate to talk about it. I think Kerry, on the other hand, said more nice things about Laura Bush than he did his own wife. You, of course, already know why Kerry hardly mentioned Tah-ray-za. She doesn't poll well. That's a Democrat for you. Politics above all else. Even your wife.

- Bush said, "The best way to relieve pressure on troops is to win in Iraq." F'n brilliant.

-Bush said, "A litany of complaints is not a plan." Again, brilliant.

- It is about time Bush smacked Kerry with his 1991 Gulf War vote.

- Didn't you just laugh when Kerry covered Daschle's ass about why he was hugging Bush? Daschle, who would not be caught dead with Kerry in South Dakota, must have shit a brick.

- I loved the Ted Kennedy references by Bush. Kerry can do nothing. He can't insult Kennedy, and has to take it knowing that being equated with the ol' murdering drunk is poliical death in most of this country.

- Bush missed a huge opportunity to smack Kerry down when Kerry blamed Bush for failing to extend unemployment benefits, and I thought he was going to stomp Kerry on it, but he didn't. I thought he was going to say, "Unemployed benefits were not extended by the Congress because it failed by one vote. If you had actually shown up to vote for once, they would have been extended." A HUGE missed opportunity.

- I hate Bush's stance on immigration. However, deep in my heart, I know he is right. Kerry, on the other hand, would open the floodgates to he could in-source more Democratic voters.

- Another missed opportunity for Bush. He should have said "If the Senator and President Clinton fixed Social Security in the 1990's, how it is so broken already?" And, Bush missed the opportunity to respond to Kerry's complaints about the increase in Medicare premiums. He should have mentioned that Kerry voted for them in 1997, and it was up to Congress to fix it.

- Loved that Bush blasted Kerry for passing only 5 bills. Kerry's "I wrote 56" was pure bullshit.

- Bob Schieffer is an old coot, and should have never been the moderator. Sounded like Kerry wrote the questions for Bush.

- I LOVED, LOVED Bush's crack about how untrustworthy major media outlets are. A great moment.

- I called the Wisconsin mention by Kerry about 5 seconds before he said it. He must be in real trouble there.

- That CBS dope tried to get Bush right up front with the vaccine question. Bush was prepared for it. Kerry was not.

- Bush was Bush tonight. I only wish he did this well in the first debate. No way he loses to that clown. None.

Discuss the Debate

Tonight, the third and final debate takes place at my alma mater, Arizona State University. They'll have it at the Gammage Auditorium, where I once took a class on Elvis for arts credits.

I hope Bush compares Kerry to Ted Kennedy, blasts Edwards for saying Kerry will cure paraplegics, and pounds Kerry on taxes.

Your thoughts are welcome and expected in the comments.

Boo-F'n-Hoo

It seems that the Democrats, once again, show themselves to be the hypocritical jangos that they are:

Dems Object to Airing of Anti-Kerry Film

WASHINGTON - The Democratic Party and 18 senators are objecting to a broadcasting company's plan to air on 62 TV stations a critical documentary about John Kerry's anti-war activities after he returned home from Vietnam three decades ago.

Sinclair Broadcast Group has asked its television stations — many of them in competitive states in the presidential election — to pre-empt regular programming to run the documentary as part of an hourlong program two weeks before the Nov. 2 election.

The Democratic National Committee planned to file a complaint with the Federal Election Commission on Tuesday contending that Sinclair's airing of the film should be considered an illegal in-kind contribution to President Bush's campaign. Also, 18 Democratic senators sent a letter to the Federal Communication Commission asking that it investigate whether Sinclair's plan was an improper use of public airwaves
.

I expect the ACLU and all the liberals in the country to be highly concerned about the attempted "censorship" here....uh, not.

Let me just say this: Thanks to the dopey Democrats for whining so loud. It guarantees that more people will watch it.

If you'd like to see some of the clips, then click here. It is powerful stuff.

Kerry's laughable no-tax pledge

That nonsense is Clintonesque. Think I made it up? Then go read Mark Kilmer right now to see what I mean.

Oliver Willis is a dope

For laughs, I go read George Soro's employee Oliver Willis. (I hope he is renting there in D.C., because after Bush wins the election, Soros will cut off the Media Matters funding)

On his site, he has a great clip from the debate, when Bush took charge and smacked both Kerry and Gibson down in defense of our allies. Here's what Ollie says:

Click here to watch your President flip out of his gourd. I've never seen anything like it.

Watch the clip he links to. It is terrific, Bush at his best. It is funny how liberals like Oliver are afraid of strong-willed men with principles. He is acting like this is similar to Howard Dean when he got rolled in Iowa. Liberals like him prefer metrosexual/homosexual vegetarian types who have vaginas where their balls should be. The type who think that calling somebody a "cowboy" is an insult. Believe me, I know these people well. I go to one of the most liberal law schools in the country, where EVERY single professor is a registered Democrat. (Thanks to the UNM College Republicans for exposing them.)

By the way, I ask again: What's Kerry's plan on Iraq? I still don't know. And, does anyone really believe he would keep that no tax pledge? Of course he wouldn't. And the New York Times, the AP, CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, et al would forget that Kerry every said that. And he knows it.

Kerry represents the hopes of liberals everywhere. That is why he is going to lose. You can't deny how flustered and defensive he got when Bush called him a liberal. He went back to his "label" point three times after that.

Kerry reminds me of a guy I used to hang out with. (You surely had one of these friends) While you are out at the bar, he says about his girl, "F Her. I'll stay out as late as I want. I'll tell that bitch where to go if she fucks with me when I get home." Yet, as soon as he gets home, it's "Yes, Dear. I'm sorry, dear" and you don't see him again at the bar for 6 months. If Kerry were ever to be elected President, he would be a subservient bitch to liberalism and one-world internationalism, and America knows it. That is why he is going to lose. I cannot believe he actually thinks complaining about Bush cutting out countries who didn't support us in Iraq out of contracts, and complaining about how much the world hates us, will get him elected.

He is done, liberals. Get used to it.

Head's up.

This new ad attacking the misguided "wrong war - wrong time" message debuted Friday on Fox News Channel.

Then to run on additional national cable networks before a switchover to local major network affiliates in several selected states. I wanted to make sure the ad got as much exposure and support as possible.

Since your local MSM outlet is burying this...

...We wanted to remind you that Afghanistan is having elections today. The liberal media is downplaying this because it is Bush's plan in action, and they can't let you know that with the elction coming up.

But they will play up this:

Opposition Alleges Afghan Election Fraud

Allegations of fraud by the losers? Sounds just like the Democrats. Maybe democracy is working in Afghanistan better than anyone thought.

Power Line has a terrific post on this too. Scroll down and take a good look at the picture.

Great news from Down Under

This made my day:

Australia Re-Elects Howard Prime Minister

SYDNEY, Australia - Prime Minister John Howard scored a convincing victory in Australia's federal election Saturday, winning a historic fourth term in a vote ensuring the staunch U.S. ally keeps its troops in Iraq.

With more than 70 percent of votes tallied, Howard appeared likely to increase his government's majority in parliament — exceeding most analysts' predictions that the result would be very tight
.

Gee, the "experts" thought that the anti-war liberal would do better than he did? I'm shocked. Shocked I tell you.

The election was widely seen abroad as the first referendum for the three leaders who launched the March 2003 invasion of Iraq, with President Bush facing a ballot next month and British Prime Minister Tony Blair probably facing voters next year.

The Labor Party had vowed to bring the roughly 900 Australian troops deployed in and around Iraq home by Christmas, while Howard insisted they will stay until Iraqis ask them to leave. Australian troops have not suffered any casualties and none have combat roles
.

I have never met an Australian that I didn't like. It is great to see they still have their balls. I've said this before and I'll say it again: When this is all said and done, Bush, Howard, and Blair will still be standing, and Chirac and Schroeder will be gone.

Our favorite Aussie blogger, Tim Blair, had this reaction:

Never again will I doubt the wisdom of Australians. I called this election all wrong, essentially because I couldn’t believe -- despite a powerful economy, correct views on the war, and a lame opposition campaign -- that John Howard could win four elections in a row.

I love this country for proving me wrong. I love Australia
.

If you have the money, spend your tourist dollars in Australia first chance you get. (Or in Poland, Great Britian, or any other country that supports us)

Now I know why the last question was asked

Read this on the Drudge Report.

The last question was a disgrace

Charlie Gibson did a good job tonight. But he cancelled it out with this blatantly pro-Kerry question that he approved:

"President Bush, please name three mistakes you've made."

Designed to give Kerry the last impression. Disgraceful.

Another thought

Kerry's condecension, mentioning several times that he, Bush, and Kerry were the only ones who had real money, was astonishing. Man of the people my ass.

Thoughts on debate

- President Bush came out fighting, and I loved it.

- Does Kerry really think that his "we'll tax only the rich" will work?

- The "liberal label" really got to Kerry. He knows the word "liberal" is death.

- Kerry had no answer for his lack of a Senate record. He did say he did something for Medicare. Oh, woooooww. At least he didn't say "I led the fight on..."

- Any reasonable person knows Kerry is full of shit about tort reform.

- Kerry has a "plan" on everything, yet I STILL DON'T KNOW any of them, and I know every last thing he says.

- When Bush said "I own a timber company?.......need some wood?" Kerry looked like a tool. I laughed my balls off.

- Did you notice that when discussing the Patriot Act, Keerry mentioned about how we can go "into churches" and then stuttered? That's because he was about to say "and mosques" and caught himself.

- Boy, stem cell research must be polling well for Kerry to give that heart rendering speech on it. I suspect most of the country is with Kerry on this one. I don't know what to think of it. This is a case where they both are right.

- Nice dance on abortion by Kerry. One again, no reasonable person could possibly believe him. I cannot believe he is using family as a justification on abortion. Bush was right to say after "I am trying to decipher that."

- Kerry looked real flustered, because he knows the talking points, fresh last week, are stale this week.

- I cannot believe that Kerry actually thinks that all his talk about allies, alliances, and, my favorite laugher, his sounding like Saddam's lawyer, will win him the election.

- Funniest line of the night from Kerry: "I am an optimist."

Round 2 goes to Bush big-time. Round 3 is at my alma mater, Arizona State University, next Wednesday.

I'll offer more thoughts after tonight sinks in.

Quick hits in the VP debate

- John Edwards sounds like he is auditioning for Saddam Hussein's lead counsel. Why not? He'll have plenty of time after November 2nd.

- Edwards has a lot of balls mentioning health care costs when he is one of the biggest reasons that malpractice insurance is driving doctors out of practice.

- Edwards is rehashing Kerry's lines from last Thursday.

- Perhaps on November 3rd, Kerry and Edwards will realize that Americans don't give one shit if the world approves of our President or not.

- This moderator is extremely fair. She should be proud of her effort tonight.

- I just love how Edwards and Kerry tell us that their position on Iraq and what Kerry meant about the "global test" is absolutely clear. I still don't know where they stand on Iraq or exactly what Kerry meant about his "global test" and I know nearly everything about this election, as well as Kerry and Bush.

- I wish Bush and Kerry's debate was more like this one.

- Line of the night, something close to this: Cheney: "preside over the Senate. "First time I ever met you was when I walked on the stage tonight." Brilliant!! And really devastating to Edwards.

- I am glad Cheney mentioned that Edwards and Kerry changed their views on the war because of Howard Dean's lead in the polls. "they can't stand up to Howard Dean how are they going to stand up to al Qaeda."

- What country is John Edwards talking about? It sounds like Germany, France, or any other third-world country. He'd have you think that there are soup kitchens everyone and no one has a job anymore.

- Edwards said they are for more middle-class tax cuts than Bush and Cheney. A real laugher.

- Cheney's thank you after Edwards talked about Cheney's lesbian daughter. And then saying nothing else. My man.

- Edwards said he took on "Big HMO's, big drug companies, etc." (Sounds like Big Oil of the early 1900's.) Of course, he never mentioned how he has hurt doctors all over the country.

- I partially take back my compliment about the moderator after this question to Edwards: "Do you feel personally attacked?" What kind of question is that?

- Edwards is a pretty little bitch. Gephardt would have been much more capable of standing toe-to-toe with Cheney.

- Edwards just isn't ready for prime-time. The people who don't read the New York Times, which is most of America, don't know that Dick Cheney is supposed to be evil. Edwards is a clown, and Cheney is a serious man. Edwards leaves the impression that he would try to get Saddam and the terrorists off on some legal technicality. Cheney makes it clear that he wants them all as dead as Napolean.

- This sums it up nicely:

Kerry casting call for...people like Kerry

John Kerry's people have put out a casting call, looking for soldiers who served in Iraq and are voting for Kerry. (Gee, I wonder if some fake soldiers, like the Winter Soldier "investigation," will be used) Take a look at the requirements:

US ARMED FORCES PERSONNEL / Male or Female / All Ethnicities / All Ages
Men and women of the Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, etc.) that served in Iraq, are voting for John Kerry, and are willing and able to be interviewed on camera about why they are voting for Kerry.
*Audition is October 6th, 6pm-9pm, at the Democratic Headquarters in Santa Monica, CA. 900 Wilshire Blvd, Santa Monica, CA 90401.
Wardrobe: casual or uniform

Positively Michael Moore-like, isn't it? I can't wait to see this.

Use the comments to give us your thoughts on the Dick Cheney-John Edwards debate tomorrow night. I expect Cheney to be a bulldog, Edwards to run the same old bullshit, and the papers to call Edwards the clear winner on Wednesday.

Yes, we did, and I think the story is overblown. Others have debunked it, too. Frankly, I think it would have been petty to make a big deal about it. Kerry is a real tool, we all know that.

Thank you for your service. As our friend Lee at Right Thinking from the Left Coast always says, those who know vote Bush. This USA Today article says that too.

This essay is by Kate [last name withheld] and it is titled: What Happened to Patriotism?

This is a result of my sincere frustration and sadness for America. Please read this and vote responsibly. Also, feel free to pass along to others.

Many Americans dishearten me today. I thought this was supposed to be the "land of the free and the home of the brave" and yet I see Americans taking freedom too far and having the bravery of a tiny mouse. I cannot sit through a t.v. program without hearing some form of Bush bashing. I used to think Americans had something sitting on top of their shoulders, you know that thing that sits three feet above your waist. I used to think people had hearts. I used to think that people had respect for others. Now I see an America that fears values. An America that believes all of the lies that say that President Bush wants to create a draft, the lies that we had no reason to attack a vicious dictator before he attacked us. A draft is NOT going to happen, but even if it did every American should be willing to go and fight for this country the way this country's founders did in the late 1700's.What has happened to this country? What's wrong with the sick people who can believe Cameron Diaz when she makes up the story that the President would make rape legal? Who is she kidding? She must be the reason blondes are called dumb. Why is it o.k. for Dan Rather to report fraudulent documents about George W. Bush as being factual? Why do we allow Whoopi Goldberg to refer to the President of the United States of America as a female's genitalia? These people and others are abusing their freedom.
Everyone says that the President is wrong for going into this war alone. Following majority is not always the right thing to do. For example, I'm 19 years old, I do not smoke, I do not drink, I'm a virgin, and I do not even know what heroin looks like. However most people my age are involved in drinking, drugs, premarital sex, etc., but I am not, so are you going to tell me that I am wrong because I'm not making the same decisions the majority has made? You see, the right thing is not always the easiest thing to do. It takes a strong person to do what is right, what is moral. It takes a strong person to stand up to the terrorists.
Here are some facts on Saddam Hussein, from Bill Sammon's book Misunderestimated:
"Saddam was one of four assassins who tried to kill the President of Iraq on October 7, 1959."
Saddam "pistol-whipped a man nearly to death on a bridge in central Baghdad, stopping to brag about it at a coffee shop afterward."
In 1981 "He began building a trio of chemical weapons plants that churned out artillery shells packed with nerve gas, mustard gas, sarin, and tabun."
Also, for everyone who thinks Saddam has nothing to do with 9/11, check this out: In 1990 Saddam told U.S. Ambassador Glaspie that "If you use pressure we will deploy pressure and force. We cannot come all the way to you in the United States, but individual Arabs may reach you." Oh, and another thing, Saddam has a history of hosting terrorists. Author Bill Sammon says a Newsweek article dated July 17, 1978 discusses Saddam's involvement in allowing terrorists to plan attacks on Israel. Here's a quote from that article, "Regarding the Palestinians, it's no secret: Iraq is open to them and they are free to train and plan here."
So, given this background on Saddam Hussein, would you have rather President Bush just sat back and allowed Saddam to personally come over here and slaughter us? Would you have rather had President Bush just said oh that's too bad 9/11 happened, and done absolutely nothing? Use some common sense. President George W. Bush has made some decisions in the past three years that no president ever wants to have to make, but we were attacked on September 11, 2001. Where would we be now if President Bush had done nothing to defend us? Oh that's right...we'd be sitting ducks. I've experience tragedy first hand so I understand how the victims of 9/11 feel. However, what I do not understand is why everyone wants to just sit back and let it happen again. This President disagrees with you, and so do I. When things get tough, you have to stand up to evil and look at it straight in the eye and tell it you won't let evil win. No it's not easy to fight this war in Iraq. No it wasn't easy to face the man who murdered my sister. But I stood two feet away from him in the courtroom when he was sentenced. And President Bush stood up to Al Qaeda and Iraq. The strong face problems head on. The weak shy away and let evil win.
I write this with a heavy heart. For I support our President and our troops who are fighting for our freedom. Instead of thanking our troops and George Bush, people ridicule the president and insult our troops. Oh, and as for the WMDs, it's not like they leave those things just lying around for us to find. We certainly don't leave our missiles out in the open. So ask Iran about Iraq's WMDs. Or maybe they're in a spider hole like Saddam was. But if you honestly believe what Michael Moore, Whoopi, Cameron, P.Diddy and Dan Rather tell you about the President of the United States of America, look in the mirror because the real liar is right there.

Kate
